A forum contributor at YoungEntrepreneur.com was looking for ideas on a new business concept he has brewing — specifically asking for feedback on his business name and a couple of slogans. Here’s what a few minutes of idea brewing came up with for him.
His business concept is “focused on good news and the improvement of the local quality of life.” He’s wanting to connect local businesses to local customers (and vice versa), and do it in a cutting-edge, Web 2.0 kinda way.
The business name he had chosen really didn’t speak to those qualities to us, so we pulled four new business names from a list we quickly put together and suggested the following as ideas for him to use or get new juices flowing:
• The Grapevine Online
• Locool
• Buenlocale
• Good Locale
He was also looking for slogans for the consumer and advertiser sides of things so we offered up these ideas (some of which include a different take on what he had already come up with).
Consumers:
• Your Connection to Good Local Living
• Your Online Grapevine
• Keepin’ it local
• Your CyberAssistant to Good Local Living
Advertisers:
• Businesses and neighbors connected here.
• Sharing your business from neighbor to neighbor.
• Business connections around the world and neighbor to neighbor.
• Reaching your neighborhood customers.
• Bringing businesses and neighborhoods together.
• Because your neighbors are your best customers.
• Your community grapevine.
• Connecting you with your local community.
• Spreading goods news locally, get connected
We wish him the best on his new venture!!
